Tuesday FEB, 17 2009 at 7:00 PM there is a meeting at the Senior Center on Bussness Loop 70 in Columbia, Missouri, about the 22 Junction, Development Group Building, a complete Race Facility with a 1/4 Mile Drag Strip. Everyone is invited to support the Track, the more racers we can get there the better. Come and support the cause. its between Rangeline (763 )and College AVE on Business Loop 70. its a very short block and I'm not sure of the address. Hope to see you there.
Is this the one that Carl Edwards dad (Mike) was going to do? If it is there will be a stadium Off road truck track and a super cross track from what I hear.
The way they talk on there web site it might get done check out the web site. http://www.22junctionproject.com/

Thats OK I just found out last night myself but if you have waited as long as I have for this you make time here, and I only live 20 miles away and its 100 miles to K.C. so needless to say if you want something bad enough you will do what ever it takes.. I spend about 100 bucks just to go up to KCIR and back plus entry fee's and food for my crew it aint cheep it runs about 250 bucks plus Fuel (alka)to go run for one Day at KCIR if I don't break anything other than normal ware and tear.
Well guys the meeting was not what I expected at all is was a sale pitch to buy shairs in the project. The first 100 shares were being offired at 15000. Bucks per share which was out of my price range by 14950 bucks. but if you were to buy one of the first 100 people you would be in a VIP club with all the frills and perks. so myself and some of the other local racers are thinkng about forming a club here and the land for a Drag Strip would be donated it would be a club only race track and you would haft to join the club to beable to race there, We are thinking on contacking George Ray in ark to fine out what are all the libilitys , anyhow sorry to bring the bad news about the 22 Junction Dev Groupe but I did ask some questions you might like to hear. ! Q. if you had the total 50 Mil how long before you start pushing dirt ? A. 8 Months min to clear up paperwork. 2.Q How long will it take to Complete the facility and go full operation ? A. 8 years to complete the entire complex and the race tracks would be the last to be built. OK to sumup : I would b 80 years old before it would be in total operation an I just ain't got that much time leff in my racing life. ( I have been racing for 50 years this year and I started at 18 ) Thanks Guy Bud
For that much buy in and the economy almost in the crapper I think that if I have the need for speed I will go to MoKan, KCIR or Gateway.
Well, that would definetly be a "multi use" facilty. I would like to have something like that up in my neck of the woods. There was an attempt to get a NASCAR track built here in Washington, lots of excitement and people behind it, lots of people against it, but it was this cheap state and it's politicians that would'nt step up with any money, road improvements, and the like. But,if you want welfare, or food stamps, or any kind of help because you don't speak english, whether you're here legally or not, they want to talk to you. Butch/56sedandelivery.
