After two weeks of tech posts and another week of voting, we have ourselves a winner. And get this - he's an FNG! Yep, a new guy took home the goods... And he did so with some pr...

To read the rest of this blog entry from The Jalopy Journal, click here.

congrats flthd31 well deserved and another excellent tech week , all the entrys were winners in my book ..
An excellent reminder that not all FNG's are new to the scene or without skills. Congrats! Great work.
Congrats to the NEW guy.....hahaha! It really was a great tech piece, well written...... Best tech week(2) ever......the prizes brought out some good stuff....Kudos to Baileigh as well!
What the? How was my scale model seat how to NOT in the running? My god man, this is an outrage! Just because it really wasn't a tech article and only seen by us model nerds....... He he, Cool that a FNG won it!! Way to go dude, Doc.
completely deserved, hands down the coolest tech. my jaw was in my lap the first time i read through that one

Thanks so much to everyone that voted for me. All the positive comments mean a great deal. Im just a regular guy working in his home garage, hackin away like most guys here on the H.A.M.B. With all the incredible talent here, I never dreamed winning was possible. A couple of guys thought that this project was too much work! Well, for me when Im in the garage fabbing-up something, its never work. This is what I love to do in my spare time. Id love to have any of the tools offered. After much thought, Ive decided on the Box and Pan (Finger) Brake. It will be a nice luxury to make a bracket or channel without looking around for something with a corner to cut it out of. I also would like to extend a grateful thank you to Shane Henderson and Baileigh Industrial for sponsoring tech week. Hopefully theyll be back.
Congratulations. It was definitely a great and deserving piece of tech. Though I must admit I voted for the Model A hinges. I've dealt with more of those things than one guy with my limited experience should have. Thanks for taking the time to set all of that up.
Next tech week post by flthd31, How to make your own '32 roadster body with only a butter knife and a cordless screwdriver. The craftsmanship of your work is awe inspiring. VERY nice work. So do you like it enough to build me a set? I have a couple of cases of PBR in it for you! Good job, let's see some more good come of you! Keep involved in the HAMB!
I knew he was going to win the second I started reading that post. Congrats. I think I'll go build some 32 rails.
