Used change to wheels on the coupe all the time. Here's a lousy shot of a combination I had on for a short time. Actually only think i took a couple of photos of it in this guise. The other one was a side shot, but I can't find it.

The only way this works is with the gray centers and polished lips. Full polish and white walls looks gay.

    I agree also.

  7. Gray is crap-only used on new American Racing mags. Originals were magnesium, so if you have a new pair, paint the centers charcoal or black. Looks freakin' sweet.

me too! Find the '67 Hotrod pictorial book, there's a green pickup on a Hawaii type scene that looks killer.

  14. Do a search for Jeems F100. He's got a '65 I think with WWW and torque thrusts.

I like full polish straight spoke Americans with medium or thin stripe ww's.
Cast look seems like it looks better with black tires (Like on Deron Wright's
3 window) I also dont really don't like the Torqe Thrust D you can get new now, Pat Ganahl told me they're the same as the old ones, But I can't find any pix in my magazine collection of a spoke that curves from lug center to rim in an early 60's era photo. The new TTO wheel looks bitchen, I'd like to
    see that full polish.

Cast is a race look, polish is a show look, but every car is different. There's
no real rules, just good taste!

Let me step a bit deeper in the depths of ignorance......

Radirs= tires (they don't make rims?)

    I thought Radirs were rims.....otay....

'tsawright, they make both wheels and tires.

the tires are an all new bias ply not recap and a bit on the hard side compound wise but the white stays a brilliant snow white like a whitewall should :)

i got widewhites with tt's and everybody think they look OK, at first had a few people saying they didnt really like them but once they see the car in the flesh with them on they like them... also noticed since i put them on about another dozen or so cars over here have stuck them on too.. heres a link to some pictures, they are too big to post here.

Personally, I feel that TT's and whitewalls are from two different eras, with the exception of the thumbwalled slicks.

I'll agree that they may not look as bad with the duller, "cast finished" wheels, but the fully polished ones with wide whites just don't look too good...too bright or something. 'Course I do have a warped perception on things.

If you really want to barf...I've been seeing an awful LOT of Weld wheels with wide whites, especially in the mid-west. Please tell your older, misguided friends that this is a horrible shame to bring upon an automobile. :)

an unlikely combo that I thought looked pretty good were these Ansen style slots with white wall cheaters
