This was my Brothers for many years. Ran low 11's. Burned in a garage fire.

Love the 41 with a chop done correctly. Absolutely not underappreciated.

Yep they are cool.... Eddie Cochran says so.

    Look a-there, what's all this
never thought i'd do this before
but here i am a-knockin' on her door
my car's out front and it's all mine
    just a forty-one ford, not a fifty-nine
i got that girl an' i'm a-thinkin' to myself
she's sure fine lookin' man, wow, she's something else....

Lyrics from Eddie Cochrans song.. "Somethin' Else" I would like to think he immortalized the Gretsch guitar and the 41 ford.

Well, I guess I might as well add my 2 centavos worth. My first '41 Deluxe Tudor was given to me in Dec of '75. It was on the road by Aug of '77. From there I got a Super Deluxe Business Coupe (now chopped 2 1/2 inches) and a Super Deluxe Fordor. The Fordor is awaiting the installation of a '56 Ford truck 272 with 3 Deuces and T-Bird valve covers.

  10. The '41 design was perfect, right out of the box. In my opinion, I've never seen anyone improve on the lines of a '41 unless it was a very mild and properly done chop. Damn, I wish I'd never sold my '41 business coupe. I loved that car.

    I hate this thread!

I'm shamelessly trying to keep this thread alive. There must be some more HAMB-friendly 41's out there. Here's a few customized 41s I found on the web.

I like 'em best with bumpers. Without, they kinda look like an amphibious car.

I like them as Customs, They don't need too much to make them cool (Chop, Spots, Skirts, and a nice stance). How many Matranga Clones are out there? A 41 Ford seems so rare these days. I love mine!

Here's mine. When I was younger you couldn't have given me a sedan. Saw too many pictures of 40 coupes I guess. Now that I have this sedan I love it and a coupe almost looks to me like there's something missing.:D

Guys, Sure seems like there a lot of interest in the '41s. I appreciate the ones I have. Hope to get my chopped coupe running this year.

They were usually thought of as the ugly step-child. After you've had one for quite a while, I've had mine for 18 yrs, it seems like they are all over.

My dad and I started working on this before he passed away 10 years ago. We bought it because it was just like his first car. Even the color. After he died I finished the mechanical stuff and left the rest alone.

Firemangordy ..... One of the best I've seen & such a fitting tribute to the work you & your Dad (RIP) put into it. I love it.

I've always been a closet '41 fan ..... right behind its stepbrother ...... the '46!!!
