Tons and tons of checkbook rodders... but there were some excellent traditional stuff also... Bad Bob should approve! EDIT: Here is the rest of the pictures: http://s197.photobucket.com/albums/aa252/remingtonbox/?start=0
This "bobber" pickup was hands-down my favorite vehicle there. Does anyone have any information on contacting the owner? I have a notebook full of questions to ask him!
Checkbook rodders, eh...???? Hahahahahaha...that blue Deuce 3-window was built by Pinkee's...as was the metal colored Model A with the map on the trunk...as I'd suspect several of your pix were "built" by "checkbook rodders"...maybe the copper Merc, maybe the dark blue Deuce out of Cali...maybe the '36...and maybe even the Orange Model A...??? Just goes to show you can't judge a book by its cover... R-
The Blue deuce that Pinkee's built was built for his father right? That thing is so beautiful although I like the black walls and black steelies better then the white walls and blue wheels. Cool Pics.
Great shots, thanks for sharing. One hint though and I'm going to post it here as opposed to sending via pm. If you want your photos in Photobucket to appear on the screen in a large format but not so large as you have to scroll back and forth to view the whole image......you need to make sure your photos post in a message board size. Look up where you see the top "browse" word. Right above that is the word "option" in blue. Click on that. It will give you options in the size that your photos will post. You want to make sure you chose "message board" as your image size. This will give you a nice large photo without being too big where you have to scroll back and forth to view it. You just have to do it once and the photo will aways view in that size. Also, if you hit enter twice between each image it leaves alittle white space between photos for your eyes to rest before moving on to the next image. Just some food for thought. Thanks again for taking the time and effort to post those great shots of the event.
Orange sedan is CrazyD on the HAMB, the mod is Tim from this area as well. Really need to talk to my pals mopre often, had no idea they went down there!
oops... i meant rv rodders or goldchainers... the kind that bring the car and whine when they get absolutely no recognition. The saddest thing I heard all weekend was when I asked a guy about the paint job on his roadster, and he said that the color and the compliments are not worth the money that he put into the paint. He said that if he had to do it over again, he would not even have a street rod because he has not won enough awards to justify taking it to shows. . That Model T?? was by far the coolest vehicle there, I was around it when it started up and that was awesome! Thanks for bringing it dirttracker26. I was the kid in a yellow shirt taking pictures of it furiously! My grandpa loved it! He wanted to try to crank start it but they already had it started when we walked over.
Thanks a lot for the help, hell I work with computers every day and I still can't get it right! It was a hell of a time!
re: Photobucket "option".........or view the HAMB on a Mac 23" widescreen monitor like I am. (no scroll bar here) Good info though, I didn't know about that. ----------------------------------------------- Thanks for the pic's, some pretty good stuff there.
I think there were 5 HAMBers who won awards. I won't be able to post my shots from Colorado for a couple of weeks. I'm off to Indy and then Atlanta.
I wanted to meet you, but my Grandpa didn't want to wander all over the fairgrounds looking for someone.. maybe some other time
Hey If ya got questions fire away. I just finished this Wednesday before the show. It runs killer on the highway I drove it both ways from Denver to Loveland both days. Rat46
Ethan...do you own a car you DON"T drive...??? Love the color on it...I'd asked Rick C. if he painted it and what the color is/was...he said no and didn't know...can you share...??? R-
This is the cat's ass, it's going to be my inspiration when ever I come across a project to start with. The only changes would be a blown flathead and black wheels...
