$500 for a setup for my 72 lemans restoration? Please? ;)
I may have just solved my issue for now. I went out to my other 40 parts car and the radiator is the same. So I'll pull that radiator out and I...
It's bigger than 3/8's and less that 1/2. So I'm guessing 7/16, maybe 20np or 24np
It looks like that "nut" is soldered in place. Just looked at numbers and it's a harrison radiator and made for GM. So original? 3R special....
I think I have it all out. Looks like crap I know, but I haven't figured out where to get a new radiator yet.
I pulled the radiator out about a week ago because it was dumping water. Come to find out that the petcock that was in there, pretty much rotted...
Upper left, Magnifying glass. Click on it, and then more at the bottom.. From there you can put in your search, and which forum you want to search.
I need to find a new one or re-core the radiator in my 1940, so I can start driving it. I see radiators with the slant neck for the same year...
I'll be giving this a try to day. I'll be under it anyways since I have to drop the gas tank to check out the sending unit.
I guess I could do that. Just would cost for new shackles, as I doubt they will come out easily after 58 years.
What happens if I just reverse the ones that are there and move them under instead of over?
I seriously thought of this, but that is where the question came of adding a leaf. If I re-arch, why not just add one and skip the arch?
I thought of that, but what about longevity of it? are they even worth it?
I really thought about that, but I'm not sure that would work. Would it?
I only have 2 weeks to do this before the car goes back home, so I'm looking at quick options. The money really isn't there for $400+ to replace...
btt for those that haven't seen it yet.
I noticed that too. Lots of 39-46 cars in there. I'm guessing because of the money there at the time, everyone had a new car, except for a few.
Put this in it's own post, but it belongs here also. (1946) Cruising Downtown Los Angeles...IN COLOR! Enjoy! <iframe width="640" height="360"...
I was thinking Megadeth or Metallica would have sped up the rebuild some.. :)
btt for the night crew..
btt for the night crew. Things get lost really quick around here..
Saw a few A's and a few T's in there.
I must of missed how to imbed the video. Thanks for doing that.
Not much as changed, except for all of the old cars. http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=1e6_1341229499
I know. There was some serious thought into taking it apart and putting it back together again. Love to see the same thing done with another...
I know this is an off topic engine, but this video is amazing. 11 months and 3000 pictures to rebuild an engine. <div align="center"><iframe...

Bypass was only on the babbit, not the full pressure? On mine they called it bypass, but did they call it bypass also on the full pressure?
Let the play go, it's not like the steering. :) As long as the rods are tight enough to get a decent pivot to the MC, you should be fine. -Mark
