Blown, alcohol and 10.5:1? Seems like a LOT of compression for a blown motor........
Some used it to pump water through engine to allow long burnouts, staging, pleasing the crowd stuff. This was before using 'solid' block material.
Just dump it in and fill the tank. Drive a little to get the carb full of the mix. Store away. Don't overthink how many gallons you have.
[img] Remove plug on #1 and hold finger to feel for compression. Line up timing mark and drop distributor.
FWIW I have a Lokar assy in my '33. Its mounted to the floor 'crossways' right in front of the seat cushion. With that done, its completely out...

Some of the early over the counter engines only had the mfg plant "V" = Flint, followed by a partial p/n of the assy. Some times the final number...
A steel flywheel will provide better manners on the street. Aluminum ones allow the RPM to come up quicker, but in a heavy car with a street gear...
You pull the 'body' into the rotation of the rotor.
And remember, the rear bowl won't burn off fuel at idle. (On most) So bring it up VERY slowly. I pack paper towels around the base and just...
TKO600 in my BelAir. Great transmission and it will hold up to the motor.
If you pull lifters, keep them in order. Best to reinstall on original lobe. If you install new lifters, go through the break in procedure using...

A guy where I used to live took a '56 4drHT and made a '55 out of it. Looked factory and went right on by most lookers. It was really nice.
Post the 'numbers' on the distributor. One way to do this is to 'machine' the later 250 unit to fit the 235. Maybe they skipped a step and the...
The trucks using 'sbc' engine used the standard short pump, just like Chevy. If your truck had one of the "GMC" only engines (V-6), long waits.
Might want to change to 'open' lug nuts (so you can see threads coming through). Some tracks require this.
In most states you can get it inspected and have a VIN assigned at DMV, then go for title. Talk to your local DMV office.

Really nice, I'm partial to Blue'62s.
If you use a proper shroud, (and you should) it doesn't matter how close you are. The fan blade should be halfway into the shroud.
Hirsch has the most well known restoration engine colors but don't list the Chrysler gold. They do list both Olds colors. Might talk to them for...
