We always set the car on level ground and aimed them knee high at 25 feet, on low beam. High beam will take care of itself. Used to get 0.4 book...
Mine has a rubber cap with a small hose clamp holding it on. Turbo 350. Worked well for the last 8 years now.

I’d go get it and just return on gravel roads only. No pavement....no salt. Might take a few days though.
