I should have just loaded it up when I was out there last time. I'd put a Flathead or staight six/eight in it the way it is. Anything more would need a stronger third member. If you started the thrash today, you could run it at the HAMB Drags at the end of August.

Is that a banjo rearend ? Are there axles in it ? Is the tubing mild steel or 4130 ? How does the welding look ? I ran low 9's with my direct-drive 413 inch Pontiac ahead of a '35 Ford 4.11 banjo without a problem. It looks to be a very well put together piece.
I would run a SBC with stack injectors on alky, narrow slicks, a PG, and go for a jr. fueler look. It should run low 10's with no reliability issues.
