  2. Looks like a hydraulic throttle "cable" to me.

  3. Exactly. It's a hydraulic throttle. The pedal has a push cylinder mounted to it. It was marketed in the 60's by a company called "Hydra Link". Supposed to be easier than building conventional linkage.

That ' Hydra-Link ' was a bitch to bleed all of the air out of the line, so it was spongy and did not work too good

I helped to install a dyno and the guy wanted one of those units, wound up putting a first class morse style cable that worked great

Great shots Gary. This one really caught my eye. Bottom end work in the dirt!

Looks like John Wenderski's car with what looks like Kenny Safford's El Camino in the background. Neat times.

Yep that's John's car the Black Beauty , and sprint car builder Don Brown built the very cool looking alum body

The tail is so fine with those silver insets that Don made, ' Priceless Work '

It is a real shame it got up-side down and took his life at such a young age

And that hand was a giant light bar that lit up with the beat of the music. Crazy days but fun.

I would like to "like" all of these photographs. A tire in the wood stove indeed, just for ambiance!

Thanks so much for the effort to put these pictures up and sharing what you have. Very special.
