Technical Galled brass cam bearing tool, Help!

    image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg I just got done taking all of the cam bearings out of my 283 and naturally, as I was removing the last bearing from the puck, it slipped from my fingers and put a little notch on the edge of the tool. I reckon I can just touch it with a dremel stone and proceed as long as I smooth it with 1000 grit paper and WD-40. Then take one of the old bearings and reinstall it and see if it galls the old bearing.

    For those of you who have more experience than I; have I ruined the tool and should just have the machine shop install the new bearings, or does my plan have merit?

    Remove the O-ring first, file the burr down then polish, it'll be fine.
