Mercury was built and owned by Harry Pierson from Ottumwa Ia. Harry and I would always get together at the Midwest KKOA shows. Anyone know what happened to him?

60 Buick wagon built by Jerry Hill who also built my 60 Buick. Last I knew the wagon was owned by HAMB member

I got my 59 out for a nice little ride yesterday. Feb 7th in Canada....I doubt I'll ever be able to do that again. That will help tide me over until spring.

Love your squarebird. Absolutely stunning! On nice weather days here in the Chicago area, been doing the same - in the garage and around the car just to help tie me over!

Harry passed away quite some time ago, unfortunately. I used to hang with him, and Vicki at some of the KKOA events, as well.

    A real piece of work!
Your Avatar Buick as well. A real knockout!!! I've been intrigued since seeing a small shot of it in a magazine event coverage. It's off the chart, but surprisingly off the map, too. Do you still own it? I would love to see more!

Looks kool Bill. It has the wrong wheels for the post but Chrysler is looking good. Looks like to me you have a good start on a mild Kustom. You don't see many of them running around. Keep us posted with the progress.

Tasteful mild kustoms are hard to beat.

Sorry Frank your ride is not a kustom. Good luck with your El Camino.

Sometimes the best intentions come up short. This car got a lot of press back in the little pages era. I have always had a soft spot for these early "over the top" atempts at cusomizing.

I do to George, one of these days I'd like to own a mid 60's wild kustom. Someday...

I'm pretty sure your thread got pulled because the build was too OT (off topic) for a traditional forum like the HAMB. Don't take it personally. It is a cool ride, just not traditional enough.

I have owned this car since 1999. I haven't driven it for some time since I had been working on my 48 Ford mild custom, which I took off the road in 1977. The Ford is now done ( I will post some pictures soon ) and the Buick will finally get some attention.
This forum has given me a lot of incentive.

I've never had the honor to see the Buick in person but I've heard a lot about it. Craftsmanship is amazing...

    Outstanding, buick boy!
I love the "dog leg" at the rear of that removable top. It was simply audacious that someone performed such a complicated chop on an already beautiful design, especially given the time frame in which the car was built. Thanks for posting.

Now, how about some pics of that 1948 Ford?

Please tell me that the taillights on the bubbletop '60 Ford are wired to illuminate sequentially!
