Want to know your experience with Eastwoods Carb Renew
Building 5w chopped and channeled deuce, no hood with a 401 nailhead with three rochesters

Did you use the bronze or the silver?

    How easy to apply?

How did it look? Was it more translucent or solid?

Did the the color you used look good or cheesy?

For the guys who used silver, did it look like cheap chrome?

How did it hold up to gas spills?

How long ago did you paint your carbs

    Thanks again

I have a matched pair of rebuilt AFB's on my '32. They were thoroughly cleaned during the rebuild, but the bodies were sprayed with the Eastwood silver carb renew. As with any carb over time they will seep a little fuel at the gaskets. The carb renew has held up well, but the stains from where the seepage was I have found can't be cleaned well with out removing some of the carb renew. The were sprayed about 8 years ago.

Thanks, how does the silver look? I don't want it to look like imitation chrome. IS it a dull silver? Thanks again, great feedback

I coated all six of my strombergs silver and the silver looks good , done 12 years ago. It looks like original dull silver.

  6. I did mine with the Eastwood silver, comes out a nice matte silver color, has held up well for the last 5 years.

Mick, your engine detail is "tight". Nice work.
