Well I decided to use some 8ba heads I have done with bigger chambers........lower my cr give that a shot
Iron heads may be more rigid too. I wonder if some of your problems may be caused by unequal expansion rates of the aluminum heads on the filled iron block?
Hey Tom right now I'm soo close to my goal I don't think there is any nitro in my future.....remember I can't go any faster then 10.0.........
Hey Carl you might want to richen the carb up she sounds lean even with the first pulley I always thought it was a bit lean now with the smaller one you better fatten the ol pig up or bad things will happen lol good luck at test and tune
Hey Tom all I'm looking to do is get consistent and not hurt any parts and be close to the mid tens, shouldn't be too hard huh???? unless you and anyone else wants to donate to the cause
Hey Carl - do take a look at the Cometic MLS head gaskets - I do think they'd be a LOT better than the copper sandwich ones you're currently running.
Thanx Tim. Had a bad day pouring yesterday........... mold collapsed UGGGGGGGGGGGGGG However I did get the larger heads filled with aluminum so I guess it wasn't so bad after all
Make note to self....... keep fingers out of spinning bit..........UGGGG no wonder its called Bumps n Bruises
When you get done working on it do you count your fingers? Dammit Carl, be careful when working around machinery.
Ouch and I know it's dear to your heart but a wedding, or any other ring, has no place around spinning machinery either .
Careful Carl, we work the same way, A piece of alum and a drill press got me the other day, Note to self , use a clamp dummy
