Powder coated in RAL 9001 off white. RAL numbers are a european standard for thousands of colours, easily duplicated in paint. Body is A2212. Canuck
White wheels were popular in the late 60's, I still like them. They are very safe because they are easy to see.
Ford Wimbledon White seems the defacto choice, but I've decided I'm going to use the earlier Ford Corinthian White on my steelies and firewall - just to be different
Here is some "white on white" when I first got the wheels they were bare metal, knowing that they would probably never be more clean we powdercoated them- the only color in quantity we had at the time was this "ivory" (poor planning) I thought that I could repaint them at any time...tires arrived, etc, etc. At first I hated the look, but they do not bother me now. Also some pinstriping (not shown) sets them off.
Someone here on the boards (perhaps Dean Lowe) was saying the white wheel look in the 60's was called the "surfer look" and later the black wheel look was referred to as the "Bonneville look" (I think). So much cool hot rod history here!!
I posted a thread on this. I had my wheels powder coated with Oyster white (RAL1013) which is a perfect match to the Wimbledon White paint I used on my firewall. Pictures in my thread. https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/wimbledon-white-paint-and-powder-match.1057338/
They're black now, but they use to be white. Could be white again, not sure if the black is where it's at. Sent from my Moto Z (2) using The H.A.M.B. mobile app

White rims with blackwalls or black rims with whitewall tires are my normal go to set up. Wimbledon white is also my favorite, that's what I used on my 40 PU.
These were going to be temporary while I got the stock ones all prettied up. But I’m kinda liking it. Wimbledon White Duplicolor.
