  1. Thanks RussTee!

    Glad you like it!
    I have an update!
Went for a drive in my car for the first time with a Damper!
All my vibrations and rattles are gone, even at idle!!!!:D
Oh, and with the lightened flywheel. "Watch out hill climb competitors!"
It was a Day, Night difference!!!!

Nothing performance related for Ford Bangers is cheap. Your only other option is a b trans case with the V-8 gears in it.

  3. Looking good Joe. Where's the video?

  4. I did have a video of first start up but for some reason the video is messed up!
I'll take a new one when this storm has gone and I take it back out for a drive.

sandman sounding strong and responsive but watch bliping the throttle while ideling think of the weight of that flywheel speeding up and slowing down and what its doing to the crank.

  10. Oh yes, that's why I never cracked it more than a 1/4 throttle!
I do have a 22 lb flywheel though!

Sounds good! I noticed your oil pressure and immediately wondered what you are running for a rear seal. Can you share which design you are using?

Gents, I am looking to install a Winfield S-BB-D carburettor in the not too distant future. What fuel pressure do you recommend? I have heard everything from 1.75 PSI to 3-4 PSI. What pressure are you guys running?? Thanks in advance.

Would an upgrade to 1932-34 brakes on a Model A be worth the effort? Has anyone driven a few cars to see if one stops that much better?

I have 33/34 brakes front and rear on my A. I think the stopping distance is about the same as Model A's but the big change is almost no fade. Remember the drums have the "lugs" for locating 32-32 wire wheels.

Thanks Steve, are all 32-34 front drums open, what some people call "Rocky Mountain"? AFTER Hersher 2015 458.jpg

  23. I run 2 to 2 1/2 normally have run up to 3 by lapping the float needle but car runs fine feeding dual C's at 2 to 2 1/2

Brakes I have fitted a Flathead Ted kit on the model A brakes on my Tee RP I can lock up all four wheels at 60 KM about 40 MPH I think this is good and dont think 33/34 brakes will improve that I allso use cast iron drums. Fuel presure with winfields I use about 3 to 4 pounds works for me.

  25. Since I'm building a banger car I thought I'd post this here to infiltrate a bit. I'm hoping to make some mounts this weekend.
    Cheers!
