Got the pedal bracket built just have to drill the hole in it for the MC. Took the body off to button up the chassis and tear it down and paint it.

Made a drag like from a f-1 tie rod and drag link. So steering is done except for deciding on a column drop. Then I blew it apart filled some hole in the chassis welded everything up and put a coat of chassis black on it. Start reassembly tomorrow! I think this one will fall in the "good from far but far from good" category!

Put the dizzy and new plugs and wires on the motor. Also put an aluminum intake on that I had on the wall but it's not going to work it's shorter under the fuel pump. So I guess I'll run the stock one until I get a high rise pm-7. I'm not going to run the low one I have because I want to run a mechanical fan off the generator and it hits the front carb. I made up a clutch linkage also. I think it's going to work out pretty well. At least I hope!

I also installed some little aluminum brake line brackets I made up.

The other build is the Flaven and Flaven model A build, it's been a little slow but plan to get back on it soon.

Trog went great, car went great no problems.... Lost some races and won some....

Great build. Are you not using the F1 crossmember now that you've fabbed a pedal bracket? Or is that still to come?

Thanks! No I'm not using it anymore. I found two different ones but the owner kept giving me the run around so I got impatient and gabbed Trans mounts and pedal mount. If they finally come thru I may swap it out or just use it on the next one.

I didn't really I just had them tacked in until I got the body. I had to move them.

  19. VERY COOL!

I am basically doing the same thing as your in my build in my signature; but you are flying on through time wise! Will be cool to see.
I don't have my body all assembled so I cannot see where everything is supposed to be. So on your steering and pedal setup- You running an A box, or what? That looks to have a round shaft for the pitman arm and I got a square one in my box. Also, how far was the move rearward?
BTW, are you boxing or what are the plans? I have been making braces and such, but am interested to see what you come up with. LOVE the trans mount idea- tossing up if I should go nice and easy like you, or ingenious like what pete did by mounting it off of e- brake shaft.

Thanks! I'm running an f-1 box i think I moved it back about 1.5 inches. I'm not planning on boxing right now. Bone stock motor. Plans are to get it going and build another chassis with a built full race flathead next.

Looking real fine on the your Coupe ! The roof detail looks like one on saw back in the 60s. Can't remember maybe a 34 Plymouth Coupe. It had Aircraft style rivets. Really like the look. Great Job on the trans mounts making it work!! Keep your progress coming really like what you are doing!

So I haven't made much progress lately! I'm a Propmaker by trade in the film industry and things are crazy at work right now. But my buddy to my wheels to a place that will sandblast and powder coat them for $25 each! Sweet deal I thought and they turned out great! Hopefully this weekend I'll get some things done! I need parking brake linkage ideas so feel free to share. I have a modal a handle I want to use.

    Picture of the wheels.
