  2. I'm probably the only one but the late Jim Ewings old Super Bell coupe has always tripped my trigger,I really liked it better when the car was sporting the moon disc.

And those bush pilot wings on the grill shell....:D HRP

This was the first one that I thought of when I saw the title. I remember reading about it in Hot Rod in the 80s and I have loved it ever since.

I'd be proud to side with you, I've been a huge fan of Jim Ewings coupe from the first time I saw it. I think it is the car that inspired me to use MOON discs on one of my past cars.
But I have to say that it's the Halibrands that make me week in the knees. This photo has been over the bench in my shop for many years.
The 34 roadster next to it was built by an old friend who has passed, it is another favorite of mine as I have a couple of very memorable trips to P-town in it.

My favorite 34 is the first one I own. Built in the late 80's, it is not so Ham friendly of a design, but it is mine.

The next one I own will be a hemi powered coupe similar to the 2nd picture...

My favorite, because it is mine. I should've went with a 15X5 rim on the front instead of a 15X6. 1934 Ford Sedan.jpg

    Jim Miles' 34 fuel altered coupe…ch,ch,ch……changes. 1959 to…
upload_2017-2-5_7-51-9.png early silver version Mooneyham and Sharp 5 window
    Hello,

My favorite 34 coupe was a toss up between the early silver version of the famous Mooneyham/Sharp fuel coupe and the 3 window built by Jim Miles. If I could duplicate the look for driving on the street, it would be the Jim Miles 3 window. It just had the look and stance. Plus, those wire front wheels were the coolest around. Yes it would be hard to mount brakes, but something would work. Disc brakes like motorcycles, perhaps? Either version would be fine. I would certainly make it as loud as it was back in 59.

As a young teenager, this red fuel coupe of Jim Miles, just rang something and it has stayed in my memories as a very cool coupe.
It would have been the terror of Long Beach on the streets and at Lions Dragstrip.

  27. Not exactly the direction I'm going with mine, but damn if I don't love Verne's 3 window.
