Awsome workmanship, quality & price.... Here is a patch which Kevin placed on one of his jackets for my shop... This patch is over 12" wide, as my lack of picture taking abilities does not do the patch any justice....

  11. A few months ago I contacted Jillian and Kevin to help produce a Kohler Dragway Open Gas Championship sweater coat. This coat was going to honour two of our oldest members of the Brantford Piston Pushers. In the early days of Canadian Drag Racing they were the 1958 Open Gas Canadian Champs plus went on to the NHRA Championships in 1958, 1959, 1960 and the first year of Indy 1961.

Silva Sportswear through there great service and craftmanship really produced an outstanding coat that truly honours our club brothers historical speed acomplishments.

    Thank you Jillian and Kevin

We have had the good fortune to work on some interesting projects of late...

A well worn shop shirt and a heartfelt nod to his grandfather's past resulted in this homage to "Archie"

I'd like to thank the Silvas for their help and fantastic work on a Letterman's Jacket for our son Gray. They were able to incoorporate our high school's patches with their jacket and custom stitching to make a one of a kind keepsake for a proud senior.

    Thank you so very much,
    The DeLoziers

ATTENTION: Silva Sportswear as we knew it, no longer exists. The domain name has been picked up by an
overseas entity. We are in no way affiliated with the current Silva Sportswear brand and are no longer in the business of providing jackets or chain stitched art application.
To all the folks who supported us in the past we are highly appreciative.
    cheers
    Kevin and Jillian Silva.

Our first jackets came from Silva and we all love them. That was years ago. Then in 2015-2016 a few new guys wanted jackets so we started looking around to try to get them reproduced. I was not an easy task. The jackets we wound up getting were from Delong and are a very nice quality. The dealer we worked with was out of Illinois and he was great, helpful, especially since we only did 6 jackets that second time. They were around $160 each plus shipping. That was with no stitching as they do not offer the OG chain stitching that we wanted.

    http://www.delongsports.com/delong/index.php

Then I found a lady in Austin, Texas (Fort Lonesome) who could do the chain stitching, by hand, no computers, that we wanted. Actually she did some jackets for Austin Speed Shop and they were awesome. So I contacted her and for us, the setup was $50 and she charged us $100 a jacket to stitch. I bought a cheap Dickies unlined jacket in blue and had her do the first stitching as a "tester" and now it's my favorite jacket.

    http://ftlonesome.com/

So we definitely went through some hoops, and we worked together to make it all happen across the state lines. Plus with all the shipping around back and forth, the guys spent well over $300 per jacket, but the finished product looks amazing.

For the pictures attached, the grey wool coat is my original Silva that was done years ago. The blue jacket is my $30 Dickies that I had done to test the Chain stitching. I don't have any pictures of the new wool coats from Delong with the new chain stitching as they went out to the guys straight from Ft. Lonesome in Austin. I could get some pictures if really needed, just know we were very happy with them.

Another (probably much easier) way to just get a real nice wool car coat would be to go straight to Greenspan's in California. Especially if you only want 1 coat. I've seen these coats as well and they are very nice and OG looking. The people there know their stuff and have been selling these jackets since - well probably since the 50s bro..

PM Me if you have any specific questions.
