Vintage shots from days gone by!

A few vintage oldies guarantied. Grandma gave these to me years ago. Perth, Ontario, 1948. Something to celebrate...Fido was also having a celebration of his own and could care less about the cars in the first pic... Enjoy.

Designed to break up bottlenecks caused by passing trains, today, intersections like these, prone to flooding in heavy rains, present new problems to motorists. In 1953, however, they were a source of pride and a sign of progress."

Great pics everyone! Puts a smile on my face on this dreary day.

 

These were taken back in the early 60's in Weeki Wachi in Florida. The owner of the car was there with his wife and he got one of the water skier models to pose with his car. Aparently the woman got the impression he was somebody important and posed for quite a while and changed suits several times. The wife, now in her 70's gave me these pictures. Unfortunately the car itself served them for years and was parked under a car cover in the yard where it rusted to hell and was scrapped. But the pictures are still cool!

 

This one need a little make over ....
