Car was starting and running fine until I left ignition on and electronic fuel pump running for about an hour. Battery is good. Fuel pump still working
Plugs wet. I removed and dried then replaced. Running original points setup
    Any suggestions thanks

Be sure to install a "surge protector" when you install your electronic ignition.
It prevents electrical "spikes" from ruining your electronic module.

Also, here's all the theory you will ever need to know re: electronic ignitions and why you should use a ballast resistor if the manufacturer tells you to. Be patient and read it all.

Thanks for the reference Fordy. Can never get enough. You like the Petronix or the Mallory set up. Seems about 50/50 on most of the boards

I installed a Mallory Unilite electronic ignition set up on my 8BA in 1999 and have never had any problems with it. The distributor has a mechanical advance, not vacuum advance. If you want good info. contact Jim Lindner at Bubba's Ignition and get the best info. there is. He deals with distributors all day long. Scroll down and read Posting #3 here:

You will also have to get the correct spark plug wires, coil and ballast resistor. Summit has it all. You will never regret switching to an electronic ignition.
