  1. Sorry I missed your earlier thread!

K&G is still in business, and is still owned by Chris Gans, but has taken a bit of a back seat to the owners other hobby, toy trains. Chris bought out Nicholas Smith Trains in Philadelphia, PA and moved it out to Broomall, where he runs the train shop, a hobby shop, and the speed shop.

Fall & Associateswas one of three advertising agencies in the late fifties, early sixties specializing in the high performance equipment aftermarket. In addition to doing all of the art/copy on the above Crower ads, Fall was the west coast rep for the Chicago Decal Company. We threw out thousands of speed equipment decals over a 10 year period. Who knew that they would be collectables fifty years later. Hats off to those HAMBers that have preserved a part of hot rod history.

  8. I'm just tickled by how well you guys have responded to this, very little drift from the subject and a great memory stimulator.

Much of what's been shown are water transfer decals, but how about iron on transfers. Seeing the purple and black Crower (sideways cam lobe style) reminded me of some 45+ years ago I made a tee shirt with that logo as an iron on.

DD, I can't help but wonder how many don't get the "Bite by Bruce" one if they're not familiar with their primary product. Just for grins I did a quick google and the first many references bring up Bruce Lee stuff, followed by Bruce Jenner (hmmmmm, don't even want to go there.........).

    Good job folks.

Sometimes there does not seem to be much interest anymore in old racing decals on this site for some reason.

Old decal rules say never use any major window cleaner on them unless you want to ruin them.

Many old decals use to be installed on the inside of the glass until tinted windows came along and then you could not read what it said on the decals through the tinted glass.

This same thing happened when the gasser's started using different color plexiglass windows.

  22. This was on my avatar's firewall, Model A, before I started the build, would be most interested in any history and another (better) decal.

    1927 graham:
It appears that Sonny's Exhaust Systems is no longer in business at that address.

I did find a Sonny's Air Conditioning shop located near by but not sure if that had anything to do with the Sonny's Exhaust Systems business or not.

I will recreate the image from the sample of what's left of the original image and contact you when it complete so you can take a look.
I love the work you did on your truck. Everything looks so clean and well though out.

I scored this incredibly rare decal last week to go along with the NOS gauge I have. Until the decal popped up on ebay the other day I wasn't even aware they existed.
