Looks like he might have a GTO hood scoop on that Ranchero. Who would do a thing like that?

I drove a '57 Olds 98 Holiday hrdtp back in high school (1960) At the time I didn't know where it originated o_O but I had a nice adjustable Cal. rake on my '57. I had air bags on back to adjust the height when pulling a boat. So I always put a little air in on Sat. night before I went to town to drag main. :) It was way cool then & it still is today.
    Today my '51 Chevy & '62 Galaxie both have a Cal.rake.

That 55 Chevy is right on. If a hot rod don't have rake, I call it East coast ugly. Look at the new cars from the factories. They all have rake. Somehow it's more eye catching.

  20. That was one of the most Bad Ass Ranchero's ever built - Drag Racer, street racer, daily driver - it did it all and looked good doing so. RIP Ron, we miss you buddy. And YES it has perfect rake

  21. LOL I thought he meant '50s/'60s style cars. I deleted Kilcups '40 ( actually built in the early '50s) and the Boss's '38. So as not to clutter up the thread. Sorry to post the wrong cars here.

My buddy Nick in school had a new one just like that , but back then he had the Dodge Lancer caps

What a great looking car then & now, sat a just a tick lower

Cohea Muffler in San Fernando sure sold a bunch of his spindle kits to all us guys, as we all had lowered cars at S.F. high in the late 50's

There's a blast from the past, I haven't seen a photo of your Olds forever. Do you still own it?
