I guess it's my turn on the what's it worth thread. 1st is a 1940 flathead engine. Locked up. 2nd is a 1940 Trans 3rd is ford 200 straight 6 Mostly complete - early mustang erra 4th is a another ford 200 long block. 5 th is a ford small block 289 or 302. Dismantled block crank and pistons 6 th is a c4 Trans , no bellhousing Thanks guys
a friend of mine just sold some flathead rebuildable "cores" for $75 each. the rest i would guess, unfortunately "by the pound"
Apparently you can swap the guts of the 40-48 car trans into an early box to make a pseudo 1939 transmission, so if the gears look good (as mentioned above) that would have some value. I'd say more like $100 but I could be wrong. If the flathead is hopelessly frozen, some misc. pieces off of it might be useful, the rest of that sounds like scrap iron to me, which is a shame, but it's hard to move big, heavy stuff.
I took apart a stuck FH, had one really rusted hole, figured it would have to be sleeved, but not a visual crack to be found anywhere, sold it for either 200 or 250 (bare block and caps) just 4 or 5 months ago...thing is, found out on Ford Barn if it would pass magging and pressure test, bare block is a good 500 + deal for many.
If the SBF is a five-bolt block, that's worth good money to a early Mustang restorer if it's rebuildable. Look for a C3 or C4 casting number along the pan rail.
