Thought you guys might appreciate the lines on this car. Brewster was around for only a few years and used Ford chassis. From what I've found there were only around 30 Phaetons built in 35. Came across it via Craigslist after calling regarding an ad for a completely different car. What should've been a 20 minute stop ended up being 5 hours talking about cars. Great experience and lots of gorgeous cars, this one definitely stood out.
They were built on Long Island and between 1934 and 1935 only a total of about 130 cars were built, very rare.
The famous Ollie Hines hot rod used a Brewster grille: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/old-photos-of-oliver-hines-33-ford.630562/
First Phaeton I've ever seen, Harrah's has a Roadster at one time, and there are a lot of Town Cars around. Thanks for posting the photos. Bob
Brewster put some custom bodies on other chassis besides Ford, although Ford was the most common. Considering that they were fighting the Depression, they did fairly well to last as long as they did!!
Here is a Brewster wagon on either and Olds or Buick chassis taken at the Ty-Rods Old-Timers Reunion about 15 years ago. Don't know if it is finished yet
There was a Brewster Limo in Wichita some time ago, the only I have seen in person. Didn't know they made other body styles. Really had a wild front end.
