Bearings are too big, and the housing is too small....... Is there any bigger housing for this spool?

If you run roller cam get all that extension/fuel pump on-- Then check end play and set it
all those items can effect end play--
    Lookin Good!

I love the build and just hate that rear axle.
I got a quickchange with a full set of gearing if youre interested.
Still have to be narrowed to fit.

8 3/4 Chry over the Ford 9 , Smaller and cheaper to build and they look like the early 49 Olds

Ive got this piece already, And a MW coupler for it. I Think I let the old banjo rest and make this more simple, as you said long time ago ;-) DSC_3188.jpg

Hi all, time to get back to work , so this fed will be buildt and run!

I need some info on bearing sizes on my spool for the early ford axle, is there any bells with bigger bearings?

And its time for fit tubings on chassis

In the 60's Halibrand made steel spools for the V-8 quickchange. One of these would work in your housing depending on what year the housing was made. You may be able to find one on ebay or? It's possible Winters makes spools also.

I will contact winters and see if they can help me out, maybe I need different housing and bells ( a new axle...)
Or maybe they have the bearing "seats" for the bells, so I can machine my bells and fit slightly bigger seats for my bearings.

The Champ is the larger size of the Halibrand quick change center sections. That is why the spool you have won't work. Assuming the banjo housing you have is 1940-1948, what you need is a spool for a V-8
Halibrand quick change. Then the center of the ring gear must be machined (center bored out) so that it can bolt to the spool. Winters makes a V-8 quick change also, so if they make a spool for it, that should work too.
