Here are some more update pics of the progress... Dennis can chime in and add any details. Nice work my man!!
Dennis, here are some seat point. The pan should have five holes in a line per side. The rear most hole is 9 1/4 inches from the back edge of the door jamb ( used a straight edge) when the seat track is centered in the travel. Let me know if you need more.
Big Deuce thanks for the up date and Roadsir thanks for the measurement, but I am not going to do the seat tracks. I am going to set it up to fit me and bolt the pan directly to the floor due to the hard chop I need all the head room I can get. I am sure you understand my madness. But at least your measurements give me a general location of where it should go and that is what I was after. Sorry about the mess in the shop photos everyone, but I have 3 window parts everywhere from one end to the other. Sure will be nice to get some paint on all these parts and put them all together as a rolling frame.
Dennis, you have nothing to feel bad about. I won't show pictures of mine, it makes your's look damn nice!
Big day today......Heading down to the paint booth to shoot some primer and color on the frame and all it's related parts.
Well guys at long last the frame and all related parts to it are primed and painted. I am really liking the color we mixed up for it. It is a PPG paint and 1936 Ford washinton blue that we changed up with more black parts and less white. Plus we added a flatting agent to it. You can see in the paint booth photos it looks to be black and the backing plate in the sun looks to be blue. I will say the photo of the backing plate in the sun comes out looking more blue than it is to the eye, but you all know how photo colors are never right. Hope you all like it. Dennis
Well this is where I am at as of the end of today. Some what worked my way to the back and now I have to make up my mind as to what I am going to do as far as the set up of the quick change rear. Open to any thoughts you might have to what I have done so far. Dennis
Great Work-All the way around!!!!!!! I bet that you're glad that you're doing this build now, as it is looking truly awesome and inspiring!!!!!!!!!!
How could you NOT be inspired by a 32 3w Bonneville style build??? I can't wait for this project to be running. I have been in the background since this thing was first born, and watched it progress to what it is now. I am very proud of Dennis and his work, and looking forward to seeing this thing on the salt.
I like seeing the Buick 45's. I bought a '64 Wildcat not to long ago for those brakes and nailhead in case I ever do a build. Yours is lookin good with that blue.
johnold1938, Anyone can chop nut's .....but it takes a real man to chop a deuce! Plus it was already chopped hard when I found it.
T&A, Well I have an invite to put it in the LosPunks sweet 16 this year in Sept. at the Platte City fair grounds. but not sure if I will make it as far as I would like to. Was told no matter what stage I was at they want it. So we will see how it goes.
