In the world of speed weight matters. Im wondering what everyone's hot rod weighs. Here's my 27 t. It weighs exactly 2000 with me in it and a half a tank of gas. ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1432878586.981276.jpg

A 54 Buick Super with factory AC and a few other options at 4660 pounds, with a full tank and no humans. It's a handful in some respects, but a smooth ride in others.

I'm not sure what my Comet weighs but it's quite a bit less than when it left the factory.

Funny but 2800-3200 is common for my old cars. I guess its because I don't play with pre war cars that often. I should it takes a lot less motor to make a fast pass with a lighter car.

  8. My '29 Tudor weighs in at around 2400. The Super 6 is 3600. I'm not sure what the '47 weighs but I know it's heavy.

My Deuce roadster weighs in at about 2400 lbs. and my '46 Woodie tips the scales at about 4000 lbs. I think it's time to put the Woodie on a diet. One for comfort and one for speed!

Chevy II with a little more than half a tank of fuel, and no one in it, and the pipes/mufflers off, slicks installed. And it's half and half front-back. AWB FTW

Last time across the scales my 48 weighed 3450 with me in it. That would put it at 3210 at that time. With a 250 six speed in the quarter wasn't an issue I was worried about.

So it looks like a typical hot rod weighs in around 2200, and most 50s cars are around 1000 lbs heavier. Any 32 coupes weigh in?

At the 2010 NSRA Nats, I weighed my Avatar 48 Chevy P/U.--- 3320 lb. with no people. A couple of hours later, with 6 big guys in the back and 3 up front, it topped out at ---5442lb. I thought for sure we'd double the weight, I guess my lard ass buddy's aren't THAT heavy. The truck survived fine, didn't break/bend any thing. Dumb thing to do, but at the time it seemed like a good idea. RINALDI
