Have an after market '40 Ford Deluxe steering wheel (Lime Works) and it seems as though the taper in the hub doesn't match taper on steering shaft; the wheel wobbles after tightening down shaft nut. Is there something I could pack (wire?) in the steering wheel hub to tighten things up. Maybe you machinists out there have a trick I could use to solve this problem.

Feel kind of foolish! Went back and sat in the car and wiggled the wheel back and forth and noticed the hub section under the shaft nut wasn't wiggling, just the wheel itself was moving. Discovered the three allen head screws in the the backside of steering hub were loose.
