Hey Scott, ordered a Crites TBolt scoop for 55'... Also got another hood to use, met a guy at Swap meet last Sunday, had 3 hoods to choose from... Picked it up Tuesday. Think I might want to get it media blasted, has couple coats of paint on it?!?
Scott don't forget Columbus Spring Swap is coming up in a month too!

  11. Right now the rear is 4.86 and the front is 2.9. When I ordered the drive shaft last week the guy said something about critical speed or some such at 8500. What the hell is that? At 8600 the shaft leaves the building ? He said with my tire its safe to 150MPH. Ha! Well within margin. Build it!

  12. Maybe you should mount one of those old school round red police roof lights on the Shocker that comes on around 8000-8200, you know like a Devcon 7 light. That way everyone knows your about to throw the drive shaft outta bed, and run for cover! It always cracks me up when the old timers call it "the jackshaft" .., hey maybe you should call your car "Jack Shafted", or "The U Joint" "Jump'n Jack Shaft" "Jackshaft Jitterbug", "Jack the Stripper" (that last one could be taken wrong possibly?) We have a 4.88 rear, 2.93 low also. Got another Jerico recently that's 3.06 low/2.04 second. Think that'll be our 1/8 mile box

With a 3.06 low gear you have to thinking about shifting to second as soon as you launch.

  14. Tell me about it. Our ole Nash 5 speed has a 3.27 low! Hey, maybe the Nash for 1/8 mile battle.., hmmm.

  15. Hairy Hauler is ready to go.

There is something very wrong when someone calls out "Ready" 5 months before the event... Something has obviously been overlooked.

    Looks great Paul

Maybe he just means ready for display.

  20. Its some kind of evil mind game! Don't look at it man! You know we're supposed to wait till the 11th hour to claim being ready. Foul play Paul, very devious.., The Hauler is looking good though.
