Here's a few update pics. Mounted a vega box. Dug around my back yard and found a dash since someone had removed the dash when the car was a roundy round racer. ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1425184151.365353.jpg ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1425184223.097010.jpg

  7. Hello Jim, Just a HAMB from up north here in South Dakota just wanted to say sorry about your son but as you say the building is good therapy and you are smoking on the car, it's looking great. I kinda of like the way you did the firewall, with mine being a 38 I am work on making some more room to install my 301 Chevy small block. I want to keep that good looking firewall but need just a little bit more room. I ran a thread and got some ideas from it, but was really looking for pic's on how guys did their. Your pic has giving me the best idea so far. Keep up the good work it always great to see how we put these wild cars together.

Thanks. I looked at a ton of cars that the firewall was cut back so far that the dash was almost flat. There's really a lot of room in these cars and no need to butcher that cool firewall.

    Yea, I'm
Petty stoked on the motor. It's a 427 with ported and polished heads, flat tops, and a tunnelram. Should run real hard . And it will fill the engine bay nicely. ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1425196780.378109.jpg

  11. Next best thing to a Hemi...
But I'm kinda biased, due to having my young mind corrupted when I first saw the movie, Hot Rod. :D

  12. Hey Jim, Can you post a picture of the inside of the firewall, a nice clear shoot, wondering how you tied all of the floor into it. It would be nice to see that side too. Mine will be different because I am not going to go quit as wide as you did. Thank you.

I will post a frontal floor pic for you. My whole floor was gone , so my firewall tie in wont be how it should be so to speak.

  14. Cool Jim, that is ok I have to rebuild the front of my floors also so I will be rebuilding that front part anyway. Post the pic it may gave me the idea I am looking for. Thank You.

.085 welded mild steel headers. I know it's a little thick, but it bends good and it's easy to weld.

The big block looks snug as a bug in there. Next step is body mounts . ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1425622198.043019.jpg

I finally cleaned up the shop from the long winter. Made it possible to pull the car into the open and get a few better pics of it. I'm pretty happy so far.
