    Hi,
I'm finally getting to put my chevy together. Long process.
I don't know what kind of wheels I want to run on it. Have any photos or ideas? Color?
Send me your photos and thoughts.

    Thanks,
    Colin

I like the wheels that are on it in the photo. Or how about chrome steelies with Baby Moon caps?

  3. You can't go wrong with chrome reverse wheels on that car, with or without hubcaps.

Sombreros and whide whites look good on anything early to mid-50's.

  5. Chrome steel with spider caps -or- body-color steel with chrome trim rings and baby moon caps.

  6. Looks like ya have some basket wires minus the wires....hard to beat the tried and true chrome reverse rim and whitewall look..I say F the spiders....pain in the A $$ to deal with...just go with some bullets and bullet lugs and ya get the same look, also cheaper lugnut King ebay... 70 bucks 4 bullets and 20 lug nuts. A nice caddy cap wouldn't look bad or hit the swap meets and come up with something unique..

    Please no smoothies!

    Slot mags!

Just kidding. Agree with the others, chrome and mostly smooth.

The down-in-the-front stance combined with skirts is a mixed metaphor and is going to make it difficult to make anything look good.

If you're going to keep the stance, ditch the skirts and go with some kind of early mag like Americans with big 'n' little blackwalls for a more competition look.

If you lower the rear a bit to level it out you can keep the skirts and use custom car-type treatments like wide whites and spinner hubcaps for a really smooth '50s cruiser look.

But if it was mine I think I'd lower it more on both ends, making it level but lower, ditch the skirts and go with chromed reversed wheels (or chrome Supremes) with pinner whites all around for a strong '60s look.

As has already been said, pleeeeeeeze don't go for Smoothies with small caps OR spyders. Both shout phony! Nice car, it deserves a well thought out wheel treatment to finish it off in a classy way.

4 bars would be cool, with the whitewalls. Nice Chevy!

Stock bodied, two-tone paint, all the trim and emblems with skirts and slightly lowered on WWW's=full wheel covers. You might be able to pull off chrome reverse wheels minus the skirts. IMHO, anything racier will look overdone on an otherwise stock appearing car.

the wheels that are on it, with a bullet "shannon"cap, and a thin white wall, will look good, and you won't have to spend much to do it...

Bob Lomax' Ayala-built Chevy comes to mind. Love it!

Cool ride - with such a strong color I think that more chrome will just get washed out. wide whites with black (powder coated) steel rims with center trim ring and spiders or bullet center with bullet lugs like loveoftiki said

You know that is such a stock looking car anyway why don't you just put stock looking painted wheels and caps. What a sleeper you would have.

Painted steelies with full wheel covers. Caddy, Olds, or Buick Sombreros, or Lyon covers. Add wide-whites, and lowness.

  19. Circle the wagons!!!!! :D

I would go with chrome reverse if it were mine and pinners. But what do I know I'm a hot rodder. ;)

I would go with round ones. Seriously, I have had good luck with those.

  21. Well, if you're not gonna go with 62novas fine recommendation- Id go painted steelies (black for me) something aftermarket probably just wouldn't look proper on your car

Black of course, add '50 Ford smooth trim rings. And that only cost me 2 cents.
