So the chassis is getting closer to being finished I just needed to take the time and to finish some of the smaller aspects of the build. First order of business Was to get the rear
spring u bolts squared away, I had to extend the lower model A knuckle's that go under the spring (at least I think that's what there called) so I cut some 1/4 plate to size and tig welded it into place. ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1418088454.123377.jpg

So next I fabricated the upper and lower shock mounts I used Pete and Jakes chrome shocks to match the front. ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1418088784.447989.jpg

Not much to update just a few pictures of the panhard welded in place, this was the last of the chassis fabrication I needed to do. ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1419463488.117938.jpg

That's a wrap on the basic chassis I'm about to start fabricating the exhaust system and a few other details but it's getting close! ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1419463837.845796.jpg

While I was held up on parts I had a moment to put the body and bed back on the frame and for the first I was able to stand back and look at the truck as a whole, I'm pretty happy with everything but I will be changing a few small things first is the front spring so I can get the chassis a little lower to the ground, second is to swap out the front tires for something a little bigger. That's all for now more updates coming soon. ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1419464598.099603.jpg

Starting my 4th deuce PU. So far I've had 2.5/4/and 3 inch chop. Just for curiosity how much is your chopped? Are you going to shorten the bed from stock? Your project is looking really good.

The truck was chopped when I bought it but I think it was around a 4 inch chop, the bed will be shortened to around 60 inches, its a 35-36 bed so I'll have to move the wheel wells forward so everything will look right, I know its a little unconventional to use a 35-36 bed on a 32 truck but once I'm done it will look pretty good (at least it does in my head)

The tires on it now are 5.00 I'll probably run some 6.00's.

Good rear fenders other than glass are like hens teeth. I ended up using Brookville fronts and shortly after the first of the year United Pacific is supposed to have rears? (they had a sample at SEMA)

Yeah I figure on buying new fronts if I can't come up with any and I'm still not sure about the rear fenders since I'm using a 35-36 bed, I hope I'm not to far into the build to change my mind.

I looked in my Mack Hills catalog and their drawing showed the 32/34 radius between the fender bead to be 34.5 inch's and the 35/36 to be 37 inch's
