I have assembled the rearend, the centersection feels much lighter with the aluminium paint. Have also mounted the parking brake cables.
This week I have made the fuel and brake lines for my Willys. The fuel lines will be finished when I put the body on to the chassis.
This 3w in pics it's for sale in Argentina in 2008 approximately, for 15.000$ and if I remember the seller's name was Francisco Ansoain..........
I don't think that this is the same car, I believe that this one was in Rafaela Santa Fe. There have been a few for sale down there. On page 1 he mentions that it had orange paint underneath like one that is shown in a post by 3 day.
The body is mounted on the chassis, maybe forever? Have also finished the fuel pressure and return line.
I made rubber bisquits 2" diameter and 6mm thick to use between the chassis and body. And I like the Henry J,s
I have never done it this way before but the paint system i am using Glasurit, says you should do it this way.
The last weeks I have been applying filler and sanding, Its still boring even on a Willys. A while ago i modified the instrument cluster . I removed the original gauges and replaced them with more modern. Three VDO gauges, one Autometer and a SAAB speedometer.
We have had some snow the last week , and combined with an injured shoulder I have not done much on my Willys.
I have not been satisfied with the wheel openings on the rear fenders on my Willys. the left one was longer and more forward than the right one, therefore I made new ones just like ME.GASSER did on his Beside the barn find Willys. I made a wood buck and hammered the patch panels.Thanks for showing how its done.
Long weeks of sanding and applying filler on my Willys but now the body is primered and the paint shop has painted the dash and firewall. Now I will continue with the insulation of the body, do the wiring and installing everything under the dash.
