I bet. I love the look of the cars. Really don't think there is ever two exactly alike, even if they follow the same recipe. Only issue for me was that the wheel was on the wrong side. Other than that, I would be happy to drive the wheels off of that thing...
Perfect in every way. The LARS has them in every color – but black spells true colors for a Hot Rod roadster in my mind.
Only issue for me was that the wheel was on the wrong side. ...[/QUOTE] Nope - wheel is on the right side.
All black cars look the same at a distance but suddenly evolve into an individual masterpiece. I've galked at cars from inches away in amazement of the finest details.
Awesome car with a lot of focus on the details and very high level of craftsmanship. To me it's just right. John is a great guy. Cheers from New Zealand
It's so great seeing such perfect builds showing up from all over the world. That's one sweet little roadster.
Black... "You look like your going to a funeral... Well maybe I am" Good enough for Cash, good enough for me. "I need my mirror boy"
I'm still waiting to see it in the flesh. No one takes their cars out here, cause it rains to much... Guess it'll be over for the Christmas rod run.
Beeeauuuuttiful car. I can't think of a thing to be changed. I think this rumor about vehicles coming in other colors besides black is just idle gossip. In my mind anything can have its appearance improved by making it sit "right", the right wheels and tires, and painting it BLACK. People who haven't seen me in a decade can still pick out my car or truck in a parking lot . . . it either means I have perfected my look, or I am incredibly boring and set in my ways. Not sure which . . . . .
Wow, stoked to see this clip on here, thanks Ryan. John is a real nice guy and drives the roadster all over the place.
It may look like many others, but anyone who says that missed the point. This car is a classic design every bit as much as a 57 T-bird, Duesenberg SJ, 62 Corvette, Shelby Cobra, or any number of automotive icons. It may be a mutt that lacks a pedigree but that doesn't diminish it's heritage. There are many designs that are almost impossible to improve upon. How many times have you seen a chopped top on a 55 Chevy or PT Cruiser lights on a '40 Ford and said, often out loud; "Just because you can doesn't mean you should." My question to anyone who says ho-hum to this car would be what they would do to change it for the better? Plus, really, how many roadsters like this do you see? There may be hundreds in California, but I doubt it. A big, big show on the East coast might yield two or three.
Whats make a hotrod stand out to me is not the color. It is how well the car seems to be thought out during the build. When all parts of the car is made right to the style that have been choosen it usally stand out. Black has been the number one fashion color of today on a traditional hotrod. But when you looking in the magasines from late 40:s and forward it is a red hotrod on 90% of the covers. In the magasines wery few hotrods where black.
