Haven't seen that old Dodge bucket for years. Good to see it still around, and it still has the old roll cage.

It started from a rusty wreck brought in from the USA about 5 or so years back. Danny did a great job on that fine car.

    Never heard of the "Hogg".

But it's been a local car all it's life. Used to run a 390 Ford with tri-pack.

Those yellow-sleeved jackets you see everywhere are being worn by members of Delta Rodders,(I'm one!) one of the organising hot-rod clubs. It was a team effort by all clubs in Zone 10, 'no professionals were involved.'

No sorry wrong car , I just looked through my old NZ Hot Rod magazines & I mixed it up with another car.

Here's the Delta Dodge in 1981.
It was pretty radical for then, at least I thought so as a teenager.

  27. I believe you are thinking of the A Sedan named Le Hog which was built in Tauranga and is still around. It had a rake in the body like the McLarens' bucket. The Le Hog had the rear doors and rear panel moved forward to make a two seater with a Y Block. Sorry, I don't have any photo's of it.

  30. Yes sir, it was one of the coolest along with Vandal/Black Sabbath and Wild Thing and a handful of others. Road Hog popped up several years back less running gear for only $4000.oo.......I did some serious thinking:rolleyes: !! JW
