Hi, my name is Paul and I live in Italy with precision in Rome I have a passion for motorcycles and American cars .
a few years ago I found this 47 ford and I took it , not knowing what to do.
I started looking for a craftsman to do the plumbing works but fled after the work required top chop etc .
And so I decided to do everything in-house with no experience but lots of enthusiasm.
The project lasted about 6 years with various changes made thanks to my friend Andrea "Scacco " to his friends who lives in Sardinia with his unbridled passion for the Kustom gave me pictures to make the most of my " our " ford 47 .
If I can I post some pictures as soon as possible .
I'm using a translator forgive me if you do not understand at best.

  2. Welcome. That's cool news about your 47, look forward to seeing pics .
Fantastic how these great historic cars have so much interest around the globe.

  3. Hi Paulo. Welcome to the HAMB. While the translator is not perfect, it is no problem to understand what you are saying. We are interested in seeing your pictures!

    Very nice job on your 47 coupe , I have a 46
Are you going to chop it ?

  9. Hi PaoloM! It's great to see there is interest in these "chubby" coupes in yet another part of the world. I will be following your progress with interest as you deal with the same rust issues many of us have; and again when you move on to the customizing stage. I'm sure you will have a fine and unique cruiser to enjoy when you are done and you won't likely see anything like it across the street from you either!

    Excellent work thus far!

  20. Incredible work there. The hand formed 1/4 and lower door piece is amazing. I really like the 46 chevy grill too. I might have to use mine on my 46 coupe. All that work and flathead powered to boot. I look forward to seeing more of your progress.

bobol, you should hear my French! PaoloM nice metal work! My 46 sedan is going to be stock with accessories that were available in the 40-60s, torpedo hood ornament, elephant ears on the bumpers, Van Aucken front bumper guard, spot lights/ fog lights, blue dot rear tail lenses, trim rings on 15" wheels and baby moon hubcaps I had on my 48 Studebaker at that time. It's being rewired and going 12 volt.

Bravo! Great job saving that old Ford, Paolo. It looks like you've shown some restraint in how much you took out of the roof...I like that a lot! I look forward to seeing more.
