    Bonnie Philson from Sacramento Ca. Drove 40 Willys pick-up gasser, Frank Pitts Warlock Funny car, And last Her and husband Leroy's 58 Chevy promod. There where others in between.

    There have been many great ladies in drag racing over the years and they all should get credit for what they have done.

    In the 60's here in the Northwest, Dorothy Davis was dominant is Super Stock and match racing. She drove Dodges, with Wedge and Hemi power. Best known for wheeling the A/FX lightweight "Wild Wild West".

    My grandma raced this 38 chevy sedan for about 5 yrs at Sacramento, Sears point and Laguna seca
    Miss this car a lot lots of childhood memories with this car

    It has been awhile since anyone contributed to this thread, but I have created a website devoted to the pioneering women drag racers of the first three decades: 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s. I have shared that with Lana Chrisman, who is interested in having an exhibit at the Lions Drag museum.
