Thieves should be hanged by the neck. I'm so sorry for the owner- what a waste

  4. That makes me sick. Even a mental pinhead would be pained to do such a thing. What a great truck.....

  5. I hope they found charred remains of the thief.

  10. The article states that the thieves put a brick on the accelerator pedal and ran the truck off a overlook.

It's a crying shame and I pray the owner had good insurance, this could happen to anyone and security is a must.

I have no whether this is the case or not but I NEVER leave the keys in the cars in the shop, that would make it easier for some scumbag to steal after they breaking in. HRP

  11. If that was mine they'd want to hope the cops found them first.

So they stole it, repainted it, and changed out the wheels... than wrecked it...

  14. Maybe I'm just a very negative person and all old car people are great guys, but that looks like someone getting even for something. (I saw this get done before) It's not very often that thieves would take the risk of breaking in, stealing it, then trashing it, rather than try to get some value out of it.
Dirty thing to do, but there may be more to the story

  16. ..............well, it's hard for me to see something like that destroyed for an insurance deal.....but now I feel a little naive and stupid for overlooking that thought. I guess anything goes for that kind of deal, huh ? Wow.

In France that sort of thing happen, they steal your car just to have "fun" : going off road and destroying roadside stuff along the way with it then crashing it and setting it on fire. Stealing to make money is understandable if not right, but stealing for the pleasure of destroying is beyond me.

Same down here and they dont care about the bushfire they start either, but also some people think its ok to burn their own cars for insurance, hence, if youve had a claim for "burnt out" car the insurance company will investigate and probably not take your business next time.

This particular theft makes no sense whatsoever. All they did was joyride and then destroy it ? That is something kids would do, anyone else would see value in the truck or parts.

    Very odd situation.

Does not jibe with me! Seems like too many differences between the trucks.

    Cheers, Don

What are the differences? The tailgate, tail lights, and back bumper are all the same.

I've heard this happens quite a bit in Oregon, of all places - my boss lost an O/T Subaru wagon that way (except for the fire); cops told him that was common up there.

  30. Hell yeah! Just what I was hoping for; drama, name calling, anti-socialism, and vigilantism. Or not. Let's get back to the cars (traditionally flavored, of course), fellas.
