Hot Rods NEED HELP ,DEVIN GASSER FOUND

Kinda ironic to see a CraneCams sticker on Lunati's car!! Neat find and cant wait to see the finished product and learn more about its history.

 

Lunati only raced the Devon from 64-66 he did'nt start grinding cams till 68.

After all this I'm starting to wonder if this last series of pictures is the "found-car" : both sides of the found body have a number ( 400 ) above a class designation ( AA/MSP), NEITHER of which match the latest photos ( number 251 & A/MSP)! No matter how similar, are we looking at TWO DIFFERENT CARS?? If so, the car that started this thread has not yet been properly identified : Seems like we need to "Keep Digging"!!

 

Blue car has a open grill, OP car has what looks to be a solid fiberglass grill.

 

Good eye, BamaMav : I missed it! Devin made enough bodies that it stands to reason that more than just ONE was made into a Drag Racer! Now I'm starting to wonder how many more are out there, just waiting to be "discovered"?

NOT the same car, look at the shape of the wheel openings. No dashboard "pods" in Lunati's car either

The pics in posts 9, 29 & 41 are all the same car. Lunati's "Trouble Maker". A couple subtle changes, but same car. You can see the change in script on the hood bulge, but it clearly says "Trouble Maker."

 

Spring is here: time to dig up some more info!!
