After seeing nash510's 63 Falcon stock car for the streets...I had to have one, but a Chevy. Went about the build a little different and started with a 2004 Port City asphalt latemodel that was updated to coil overs in 2010. Removed body and cut the entire cage off. Was able to find a solid 64 Chevy II with a clean title. Keeping Winters sprint quick change w/3:74 final ratio. Motor and tranny is from a 1996 Z-28...5.7 LT-1 with a T-56 6 speed manual.
I like the idea but you will get blasted for engine choice at the very least. I raced late models for 20 years and the only concern I have is the tread width is way wider than your body. Good luck with your project!
I like that look alot. It might change without slicks on it though- i guess you could get some dirt track tread tires to keep the police off you. -rick.
Looking good, the tires really aren't outside as far as I thought they would be. Keep the pics coming!
