Anyone have any idea on the thickness and grade of copper that is typically used for exhaust header gaskets ?

I'd like to have some header gaskets laser cut for my Y Block headers and collectors too.

No one makes them so If I do so I will buy a sheet of copper and have the whole thing cut up and sell the extras to recoup the cost.

  2. I use whatever I have around or can get at McMaster Carr, soft copper sheet about .050-.062 thick is what I like. Look at an alloy 110, it machines pretty well, laser cuts even better.
