I need some feedback here guys, what do you think about the red?

  6. The red is no bueno... IMO

  7. I gotta admit I'm not crazy about it,,,too many different colors.

The car definitely needs lowering and I don't profess to know anything about photo shopping but I will submit my poor attempt to offer a color suggestion.

Trying to pickup the body line color.HRP

If you want to chop the f#@k out of it or pull off the fenders do it, its your car. Cant please everyone,so please your self. Id find some pics of sedans that you like the style of, there are plenty of model a sedan threads. One is bound to strike your fancy. IMO if its a hot rod it has to be low and have a rake to it. It dont have to be chopped or fenderless to be cool. Kept it at 28-29 sedans with wires ,but 2 with 40 ford steelies just to give you some ideas on some of my favorites. When my tires go bad on front im going to a 4.50 and pulling a leaf out,but its fine for now.

If it were me, I'd paint the wires black, lower it a tad, and continue enjoying it.

I have to admit that I like this colour better than the red.

Edna will not look right with her new shoes , unless she gets a tummy tuck . 4 inch dropped front axle, reversed eye front spring. Model t rear spring with couple leafs taken out. Then you've got to make brackets to get the front brake lever actuators to work with your mech brakes. Gonna take some work to do right. And not quick to change back if you want too later on. Right now you can just swap wheels and be back where you were . It's a slippery slope , how far are you willing to slide ?

Okie joes sells them for around 250. That's what Russ did on mine. There are threads on lowering a model A that still has mech brakes. Good info. Could just put juice brakes. Your call . Good luck. Heck browse the classifieds you might find one already done like you want and have 2 of em , one stock , one modified.

  21. Black wheels would look right with the black fenders. Chrome caps and beauty rings would finish it of just right. And, I agree, the front needs to come down.

Didn't you hit a pot hole and bend your stock front rim? Did it tweak your axle too? Good excuse to use on the wife for modifying it . But your car looks cool even stock to me. So what ever changes you do ,it's gonna look cooler to some than others. I was driving my 29 into town and got a big grin and a thumbs up from a little old lady , made my day. I love to give em a toot from the ahooga horn. They always laugh and wave.

Yes it trashed my stock rim, but upon further inspection from another model A owner who brought his car over, his axle was bent worse than mine. We tightened the bearing quite a bit, and adjusted the toe in and it drives great now.

Cool ! Glad it was that simple. You know your gonna be in the misfit club now don't ya? Ha. Damn no wonder i gotta buy cars other people built , and it's taken me 7 years to get my t bucket done. I haven't done much so far on my day off but be on forums. I did get the plastic bitch started last night around midnight. Neighbor girl plays the damn drums all the time. So listen to the. 671 whine as little payback. . Now I gotta figure out how to tune it. So off to another forum.

Very nice car, I like it. I'm with the others on wheel color though... don't think the red fits in very well. Here's some photoshop
