How did I get into cars? I came up in a tiny town where there was nothing else to do. When we were kids my cousin arranged for the use of a shop and yard on trade for some labour. Back in those days the shop was the hangout. Far enough out of town that you could get away with just about anything, close enough to town that the girls would come out and get drunk and do dumb shit, and we'd laugh. I remember this one time after a demolition derby one of my pyro buddies ended up burning down a junk car mostly by accident. We couldn't put the fire out 'cause the boat tank in the back seat caught, so he fired up his Tornado and played demolition for about 20 minutes until the bumpers got locked together. Panic! We eventually got them apart with big pry bars. Man. We were stupid. That fire lasted for hours.
