Was a drag racing fan in the early sixties. A friend ran a NAPA store and had a speed shop on the side. That's when I gained interest in racing and started working on my car as well as my buddy's machine. We were gearheads and cars ruled.
Nowadays with the internet, I've been able to get in touch with people from near and far concerning nostalgia events and have been attending Hot Rod reunions in the East as well as traveling to Bakersfield, California for the California Hot Rod Reunion. Although I don't presently own a street rod, two friends have 32 Ford roadsters, one with a flathead, the other is a nailhead Buick.
Also way back when (1966) while in California, friends and I met and stayed at the late Tom McMullen's home in Fullerton, CA. Tom had one of the most famous 32 Ford roadsters ever.Interact
