My dad has collected cars since before I was born and was surrounded by car nuts when I was growing up. My dad also had every CarCraft, HotRod and Rod&Custom magazine ever printed and would spend long evenings drooling over leaded Mercs and chopped and channeled coupes. When I was 12 my dad gave me a 30 A coupe that had been chopped in the 50s that needed everything redone (except the lead work on the roof). I boxed the frame, dropped in a 289, added a dropped axle, disc brakes and collected tons of parts. Work and family took over my time and I never finished it but I kept in the garage and now my boys and I have dug it out and are starting to work on getting it on the road. Plan on styling it like a old dry lakes coupe (See avatar). This site provides a lot of inspiration.
