'36 Chevy Pickup Low Roof Cab - Redux....September 20, 2014

Back in '68 my father purchased a '36 Chevy Pickup from a farmer for 35 buck, he subsequently painted it red, planted a hopped up 283 with 3 - 2's in it and proceeded to raise hell with it...that is until marriage and I came along. In 1984 he gave me that pickup, we fixed it up a bit and I drove it to high school, until the grave day after a Thanksgiving holiday when I managed to roll that little pickup on a country road. I still have that truck, acquired a few more '36's and they've sat around for the last 20 years or so. A few weeks ago my parents informed me they sold the family farm and I have to sell everything currently there, as a result, everything made from the auction will go into rebuilding the '36. At this point, after the auction on the 27th of September we'll have approximately 3 months to complete the build. I say "we" as this may very well be the last project my father and I complete together, a fitting tribute to a wonderful man.
