I started out in the local dump building go cart engines from old lawnmowers, it was my parts store! Then at 15 i bought a '67 Nova with my grass cutting & related money, $225.00, it had a 6 & 3spd which i rmoved and replaced with a327 4 spd I taught myself to build. dad was an accountant and knew/ knows nothing about cars so I was pretty much on my own there.
I tend to like things with patenia, old paint, doing stuff on the cheep, making my own parts including casting & machining.Interact
