I was hooked at the tender age of 10. Started buying Rod and Custom in 1963 and read them till I wore them out.
Started building my own cars at the age of 17, more unfinished projects than completed ones, but learned some lessons along the way.
Dad had an interest in cars but no knowledge to pass along, so I had to figure it out myself, thanks Dad for the patience and half the garage!
Finished a ground up build of my 1965 Barracuda, a car I have owned for 37 years, of course it did not run for 27 of those years. Sure it took 10 or 15 years to finish but I did finish it right?
My downfall is that I do 100 percent of the work myself, by myself. Engine build, body and paint, wiring, upholstery.. now wait a minute I did send the chrome out for someone else to do.
Its been finished long enough for me to get that urge to build again.
Its time to build the Hot Rod I always wanted, so long as I can find a way to pay for kids college and finance the car.
