After going through numerous early stangs, Shelbys, and Machs, got into a replica cobra, but now need something with a top, so building a cabster
Did 4 1/2 yrs in the naval air force, which allowed me to blow up the shelby 3 times out racing and still have a roof over my head and food, having access to the base auto shop was a benefit, helped do a V8 swap in a Vega, which really got me into horsepower in a light car, This was in the 70s when shelbys and stangs were still cheap. We had the cobra for over 9 years, and did parts of 3 different power tours, we would take the cobra on 5 day trips with no problem, just had to know how to pack the small trunk, and still have room for its soft top.
